THE CHURCH IS UNDER SIEGE (Part 8).

Kindly permit me to share with us what an ex-local government chapter chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) told me when I went to present to him a copy of my newly published book in his office, yes, I was well received but wished I never visited. As soon as I walked into his office, I met him discussing with his receptionist, like a thunder storm, he dropped an information that almost made me shed tears for the church of God, this clergy man without any iota of shame told me that he had little time to discuss with me as he was set to leave for the CAN state secretariat to partake in the sharing of a huge sum of money given to the association by a certain politician to buy their support for his gubernatorial ambition. Are you surprised? An African adage says "The reason why the dog befriends a pot bellied man is that if he's not defecating, he will surely be vomiting". Many of our covetous Christian leaders runs after the rich because of what they will eat and these irresponsible behaviours has reduced the church of God to nothing before our corrupt elites, you need to see how some pastors lobby to be sent to head churches in rich neighbourhoods all for fish and bread. Seriously speaking, the church as presently constituted cannot effectively fight the kingdom of darkness and this is because the church and it's leaders have completely surrendered to the dictate and control of agents of darkness whose wealths emaciates from the pit of hell, it's a known fact that the church now receives financial and material gift from people of questionable characters, as a matter of fact, it's no longer a secret that many of our today's churches are now being sponsored by Yahoo Yahoo plus criminals. According to the scriptures, children are gifts or blessings from God but truth be told, the alarming rate of antisocial behaviours by the young people in our today's world leaves one wondering if parents truly appreciates or cherish such blessings.
