LET'S PRAY FOR THE CHURCH (PART 6)

Currently in Nigeria,Churches regardless of the denominations are so politicised and divided along ethnic lines and this is rather unfortunate as Jehovah is the God of all creatures regardless of their ethnicity or race. Any insider virtually in all of our today's Churches can testify that politics is now being deployed on serious issues which ordinarily are spiritual in nature for example, promotions and appointments, it's no longer a secret that these all important spiritual exercise which ought to be guided by the leadership of the holy spirit are now being done based on ethnic considerations. Here in Nigeria, there are Churches where members from the ethnic groups different from that of the church overseers are not allowed to hold sensitive offices or posted to branches which they the church considers as juicy branches and this is sad as our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ along with his disciples never discriminated against any one, even though Apostle Paul was ne...

LET'S PRAY FOR THE CHURCH (PART 5)

Ordinarily, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Pentecostal Fellowship Of Nigeria (PFN) are the two major Christian bodies saddled with the spiritual task of uniting the church and presenting it as a family of the people of God that can speak in one voice particularly when attacked by not just unbelievers but by the agent of the state, however, these Christian bodies over the years can best be described as socio-political groups whose agendas has nothing to do with Christianity. Why on earth will an organisation set up to represen...

LET'S PRAY FOR THE CHURCH (PART 4)

Truth be told, one of the greatest challenges confronting the church of God here in Nigeria is that of biased doctrinal teachings and this is the reason why many church goers are ready to die in defence of their church doctrines but not in defence of the name of Christ Jesus the saviour of their souls, these unscriptual behaviour by supposed Christians are largely responsible for the many divisions and disunity in the body of Christ. Ordinarily the body of Christ ought to be one but the unpleasant behaviours of church overseers who are always pitching their flocks against Christians of other denominations whom they accuse of not following the scriptural standard but let me ask who is actually following the scriptural standard here in Nigerian churches and when did God appoint anyone a judge on doctrinal matters? If things must change, church overseers themselves must as a matter of urgency desist from the unnecessary confusion they create with their so called doctrine, they must b...
