Currently in Nigeria,Churches regardless of the denominations are so politicised and divided along ethnic lines and this is rather unfortunate as Jehovah is the God of all creatures regardless of their ethnicity or race. Any insider virtually in all of our today's Churches can testify that politics is now being deployed on serious issues which ordinarily are spiritual in nature for example,promotions and appointments, it's no longer a secret that these all important spiritual exercise which ought to be guided by the leadership of the holy spirit are now being done based on ethnic considerations. Here in Nigeria,there are Churches where members from the ethnic groups different from that of the church overseers are not allowed to hold sensitive offices or posted to branches which they the church considers as juicy branches and this is sad as our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ along with his disciples never discriminated against any one,even though Apostle Paul was never part of the disciples when Christ was here on earth, nevertheless, he was accepted and well respected inspite of his ugly past of being a tormentor in chief to the body of Christ, why can't the heavy tribalised and discriminatory Churches of today learn from them? When I hear stories of Pastors who are always in the habit of running from pillar to post on accounts that their lives are under attack by witches and wizards, I laugh and at the same time weep for the church of God, is it not shameful that ministers of God who ought to be terrors to the kingdom of darkness are now the ones running from them? Did you know that some so called ministers of God in a bid to avoid being killed by their perceived enemies now seeks for protection charms from Juju-men leaving some like us wondering if our God is no more in existence? According to the scriptures, children are gifts or blessings from God but truth be told, the alarming rate of antisocial behaviours by the young people in our today's world leaves one wondering if parents truly appreciates or cherish such blessings. Parenting is a very serious business that requires the total commitment of parents and in all honesty any parent who is not ready to give his or her all has no business bringing any child into the world as such children may end up as terrors to the entire society.
