Ordinarily, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Pentecostal Fellowship Of Nigeria (PFN) are the two major Christian bodies saddled with the spiritual task of uniting the church and presenting it as a family of the people of God that can speak in one voice particularly when attacked by not just unbelievers but by the agent of the state,however,these Christian bodies over the years can best be described as socio-political groups whose agendas has nothing to do with Christianity. Some years ago, I was in the office of a former chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Lagos island chapter to present one of my newly published books but to my greatest shock,he told me that he would only attend to me for just few minutes as he was in a hurry to catch up with the state Exco meeting at the secretariat where a huge sum of money donated by a certain politician was to be shared, can you imagine that?. Why on earth will an organisation set up to represent the interest of Christ Jesus be turned into a house of iniquity where stolen money from the Government treasury is shared?. Seriously speaking, the church as presently constituted cannot effectively fight the kingdom of darkness and this is because the church and it's leaders have completely surrendered to the dictate and control of agents of darkness whose wealths emaciates from the pit of hell, it's a known fact that the church now receives financial and material gift from people of questionable characters, as a matter of fact, it's no longer a secret that many of our today's churches are now being sponsored by Yahoo Yahoo plus criminals. According to the scriptures, children are gifts or blessings from God but truth be told, the alarming rate of antisocial behaviours by the young people in our today's world leaves one wondering if parents truly appreciates or cherish such blessings.
