THE CONSEQUENCES OF PARENTAL FAILURE (PART 6)

One of the negative manifestations of parental failure ravaging our society is that cancer called hard drugs addiction, this cancer in all honesty has eaten deep into the lives of our youthful population and this must be dealt with if we truly desire a peaceful society. It's not longer a secret that hard drugs are freely sold on our street and the law enforcement agents are very much aware of this, unlike in the past where such things are sold in secret places only known to the users, right now drugs are not only being sold in open places but are freely used by both adults and minors in the society.
    Here in Nigeria, there's hardly any week that goes by where heartbreaking incidents of children who murdered their parents are not reported in the news and many if not all are linked to hard drugs usage. Permit me to state that the real reason why crimes such as murder, rape and so on are on the increase in our society is because parents are failing in their God given responsibilities which includes to ensure that their children are properly raised with the fear of God in them, it's highly unfortunate that parents who ought to be enjoying the fruit of their labour are now being dispatched to their graves by their poorly brought up children acting under the influence of hard drugs.
